‘Cowardly’ drink-driver found by police topless under dining table after killing woman in front of daughters

Ashley Towning, a drink-driver, killed mother Lijuan Wu and injured her two daughters while they were walking home, almost four times over the limit. The incident occurred on August 8 on Barrowby Road in Grantham, with Mrs. Wu dying at the scene and her daughters sustaining injuries. Towning fled the scene but was found topless and hiding under his dining table by police just 11 minutes later, after leaving his driving licence and bottles of vodka in his car.
