The Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C, revealed rare footage of a mosaic depicting early symbols of Christianity. Archaeologists discovered a 400-year-old burial vault in the Church of Saint Philibert in Dijon, France, containing mostly adult remains in wooden coffins with few artifacts. The church, dating back to the 12th century, is open to the public on select dates for Heritage Days.

Joe Harris, 108, Dies; Thought to Be the Oldest World War II Paratrooper
Joe Harris, a World War II veteran and member of the all-Black 555th Parachute Infantry Battalion, known as the Triple Nickles, died at the age of 108 in Los Angeles. He parachuted into forest fires in the Pacific Northwest caused by Japanese balloon bombs, as part of Operation Firefly in 1945. Harris performed 72 jumps and was honored by Marine Corps veterans and wildland firefighters in his later years. Full Article
