Hero air ambulance pilot used farmer’s shotgun to kill rampaging XL Bully

An air ambulance pilot, Capt Jon Earp, was commended for his bravery after he shot an attacking XL Bully named Ricoh, which injured three people, including the dog’s owner Lisa Grant, during a November 2023 incident in Gwynedd, North Wales. Grant received an eight-month suspended prison sentence for owning a dangerously out-of-control dog, while Earp’s swift action prevented further injuries.
