HBO Adapting Baldur’s Gate into a TV Series

HBO is developing a TV adaptation of Baldur’s Gate, continuing the narrative of Larian Studios’ acclaimed RPG Baldur’s Gate 3. Craig Mazin, co-creator of The Last Of Us, will serve as creator, writer, executive producer, and showrunner, with plans to include both new protagonists and returning characters from the game. While the series’ release date remains uncertain, Mazin has expressed his enthusiasm for expanding the story. Notably, Larian Studios is not involved in the production.
