Harvard-bound Isaac Ahn wins Section 1-3A boys golf championship

On May 28, Isaac Ahn, a senior from Rochester Mayo, showcased an impressive performance at the Section 1, Class 3A boys golf meet, shooting a bogey-free 5-under-par 66 to finish at 8-under-par 134, winning by six strokes. While Northfield secured the team title, ending Mayo’s two-year reign, Ahn led a group of five Rochester golfers who qualified for the state meet, including Tim Sexton, Brennan Weckwerth, Boston Collins, and Ryker Hansen. The Class 3A state meet is scheduled for June 10-11 at Bunker Hills Golf Course in Coon Rapids.
