In September, the husband of murdered woman Harshita Brella was arrested by police in connection with a report of domestic abuse she made in August, according to the Independent Office for Police Conduct. Pankaj Lamba, identified as the prime suspect in Brella’s killing, is believed to have fled the country after her body was found in a car boot in Ilford. An investigation is underway regarding Northamptonshire Police’s response to Brella’s domestic abuse report and their contact with her and Lamba prior to her death.
