Hamas confirms death of its military leader Mohammed Sinwar

Hamas confirmed the death of its Gaza military chief, Mohammad Sinwar, months after Israel claimed to have killed him in May. Sinwar, brother of Yahya Sinwar, who was involved in the October 7, 2023 attack on Israel, was elevated in rank following his brother’s death, leaving Izz al-Din Haddad to oversee Hamas’ operations in northern Gaza.
