Parts of the UK are facing severe weather this week, with the Met Office warning of more than half a month’s rainfall in a single day. Yellow weather warnings for heavy rain and strong winds will be in effect across Northern Ireland, southern England, and Wales, potentially causing travel disruptions and flooding. Winds may reach 70mph in some areas, with additional warnings for rain extending into next week. This period of unsettled weather is expected to continue throughout December, with further low-pressure systems predicted.
