From June 4-8, millions of Muslims will undertake the Hajj pilgrimage, a spiritual journey essential for all adult Muslims who can afford it. Pilgrims begin in a state called ihram, signifying equality before God, and perform their first tawaf by circling the Kaaba, Islam’s holiest site, seven times. The first day concludes with a night spent in Mina, known for its extensive tent city accommodating millions, where pilgrims engage in prayer and reflection.
