Gráinne Seoige off the pace to take Dáil seat in Galway West Gaeltacht homeland – TG4 poll

Ms Seoighe, a native Irish speaker, is running for Fianna Fáil in Galway West to retain the “Connemara seat” previously held by Eamon Ó Cúiv, who recently retired. A TG4 poll indicates Fianna Fáil support is slipping, with strong showings for Independent candidates Catherine Connolly and Noel Grealish. Fine Gael is gaining traction in the constituency, with Hildegarde Naughton and Seán Kyne in contention for seats, while Sinn Féin’s Mairéad Farrell and Independent Noel Thomas are also vying for election.
