GOV.UK websites, including those for Universal Credit, experienced significant outages starting around 6am, preventing users from accessing benefits information. Many users encountered error messages when attempting to log in, with reports indicating that approximately 60% faced login issues and 40% could not access the websites at all. Additionally, around 145 users reported problems with the HM Revenue & Customs portal, while the Department for Work and Pensions has been contacted for comments regarding the disruptions.
