Seventeen-year-old sprint sensation Gout Gout will make his Australian senior international debut at the world athletics championships in Tokyo this September, focusing on the 200m, where he holds the national record. Following impressive performances at the national titles in Perth, Gout is excited to compete against top athletes and has also trained with Olympic champion Noah Lyles. Alongside Gout, Lachie Kennedy will represent Australia in the 100m, and several other athletes, including medalists from the 2024 Paris Olympics, have been named in the initial squad of 17 athletes.
