Google Wallet has been updated to simplify the process of keeping all your passes in one convenient location. According to this week’s release notes for Wallet, discovered by Android reporter Mishaal Rahman, Google now automatically displays movie tickets and boarding passes after they have been purchased, as long as the confirmation email is in the user’s Gmail inbox. While this feature may not be available for every theater chain or airline yet, Google states that it is currently live for “some” and will be expanded in the future.
Google has been gradually enhancing Wallet to make it more user-friendly. Last month, the company extended Wallet passes to WearOS, allowing Android smartwatch users to easily access their tickets from their wrist. This includes boarding passes, event tickets, gym memberships, loyalty cards, and more. In the most recent update, Google has also introduced a feature that enables users to manually archive most of their passes from either their smartphone or smartwatch. These archived passes will be stored in a designated section called Archived Passes, giving users the option to undo the action if necessary or refer back to an old pass.
