Sphere Entertainment is teaming up with Google and Magnopus to enhance The Wizard of Oz using AI for their Las Vegas venue, utilizing advanced technology to increase resolution, extend scenes, and add characters for a more immersive experience. Google’s Cloud and DeepMind divisions used sophisticated models to enhance the film, incorporating additional materials from Warner Bros.’ archives to train the AI. The enhanced version of The Wizard of Oz will debut at the Sphere on August 28th, 2025, potentially featuring additional sensory elements like heat, wind, and scents for audiences to experience.
