Google is suing the BadBox 2.0 botnet group

Google has filed a lawsuit against the operators of the BadBox 2.0 botnet, believed to be the largest smart TV botnet globally, which has compromised over 10 million uncertified devices using malware to conduct ad fraud and other crimes. The FBI is also involved in dismantling the botnet, with Google enhancing its Play Protect to block related malicious apps.

Explain It To Me Like I’m 5: Google is suing a group that controls a very bad network of hacked TVs and tablets called BadBox 2.0, which has tricked over 10 million devices into doing sneaky things like stealing money through fake ads.
