Google is offering employee buyouts in Search and other orgs

Google is initiating a “voluntary exit program” for US-based employees in its Search organization and other divisions, but not for DeepMind, Google Cloud, YouTube, or central ad sales. The program offers a minimum of 14 weeks’ pay for those who choose to leave by a July 1st deadline, with the aim of providing a supportive exit for employees feeling misaligned with company strategy. Additionally, employees within 50 miles of an office must return to the office at least three days a week, or face layoffs with severance.
