In Camden County, New Jersey, three good Samaritans, including two Army reservists, intervened during an attempted carjacking on Thursday morning. The attack began when 45-year-old Rondean McDonald crashed his vehicle and, upon being helped by a 59-year-old woman, attempted to commandeer her car, physically attacking her in the process. Witnesses, including Joseph Knazek, joined the rescuers, who eventually subdued McDonald with a fire extinguisher until police arrived; the victim was hospitalized in stable condition, while McDonald faced multiple charges, including carjacking.
