Ghost of Tsushima, the brilliant swansong of the PlayStation 4, is making its way to PC. The director’s cut of this open-world adventure will be available on Steam and the Epic Games Store on May 16.
Nixxes, a highly regarded Sony studio known for its PC ports, has spent the last year working on bringing Sucker Punch’s game to a new platform. With the Iki Island expansion and Legends co-op multiplayer mode included, Ghost of Tsushima offers all the features fans expect from PC ports of PlayStation games, such as unlocked framerates, extensive graphics settings, and customizable mouse and keyboard controls. Players can also enjoy haptic feedback and adaptive trigger support with a DualSense controller, just like on PlayStation 5.
Support for ultrawide monitors is available, with optimizations for 21:9 and 32:9 formats. Players with a triple-monitor setup can even enjoy a 48:9 ratio. NVIDIA DLSS 3, AMD FSR 3, and Intel XeSS upscaling technologies can be used to enhance performance and visuals, while NVIDIA Reflex and DLAA anti-aliasing are supported.
Sony promises more authentic lip sync with Japanese audio enabled, as cinematics are rendered in real time on PC. Combined with the black-and-white Kurosawa mode, this adds to the cinematic experience of the game.
Gamers can expect Ghost of Tsushima to look even more stunning on high-end PCs (it will also run on portable gaming devices). More details, including system specifications, will be revealed in the coming weeks.
