John Alvarez and Rosemary Woods have opened a tiki bar called “I Know the Owner” in Walkerville, Windsor, offering rum-based cocktails and a unique island-themed atmosphere with vintage surfing magazine decor. The bar, inspired by popular tiki bars in Detroit, Chicago, and Toronto, aims to provide a theatrical experience for visitors with creative cocktails served in unique glassware and sharable bowls. Located in a 30-seat venue, the bar adds to the vibrant nightlife scene in Walkerville, complementing the owners’ other establishments in the area like Funky Chow Kitchen and Grand Cantina.
