SINGAPORE: Workers’ Party (WP) chief Pritam Singh on Saturday (Apr 26) stated that the party cannot succeed by “playing the race and religion card,” responding to Islamic teacher Noor Deros’s claims of political support in exchange for demands. Singh clarified that a meeting with Deros was arranged without prior agreements and emphasized the need for candidates to represent all Singaporeans equally, avoiding unnecessary politicization of race and religion. He urged voters to judge WP on its manifesto and proposals for the benefit of the entire community.
