SINGAPORE: Singapore Democratic Party (SDP) chief Chee Soon Juan criticized Health Minister Ong Ye Kung for dismissing the SDP’s policies, claiming they are often copied by the People’s Action Party (PAP). Chee highlighted the SDP’s unemployment insurance proposal and compared it to the new SkillsFuture Jobseeker Support scheme. Additionally, SDP candidate Surayah Akbar defended their Non-Open Market housing scheme, asserting it offers an affordable alternative for lower-income Singaporeans while addressing housing issues.
