SINGAPORE: The police are investigating 13 individuals, aged 13 to 20, for damaging four wheelchairs belonging to the Elections Department Singapore (ELD) at two polling stations in Sengkang and Boon Lay. Preliminary investigations revealed that some individuals used the wheelchairs for racing, with one being thrown in the air. Vandalism could lead to fines of up to S$2,000 or three years’ imprisonment, as authorities emphasize zero tolerance for such actions during election periods.
