Gaza rescuers say Israeli strikes kill 44

Gaza’s civil defence agency reported that Israeli strikes killed at least 44 people on Sunday, with dozens of Palestinians killed almost daily since Israel resumed its military offensive on March 18. Efforts to revive a ceasefire and secure the release of hostages have failed. The strikes have caused devastation and casualties, with civilians, including children, being killed. The Israeli military reported a rare salvo of around 10 projectiles fired from Gaza into Israel on Sunday, most of which were intercepted. Netanyahu and Trump are set to discuss the situation on Monday.
