Layan Al Nasr, 14, thought she would never walk again after losing both legs in an Israeli bombing in Gaza, but now stands proudly on artificial limbs in the UAE. Despite her newfound hope, fear for her family still living in conflict-ridden Gaza weighs heavily on her mind. Along with over 2,000 other wounded Palestinians, Nasr and her family have found refuge in Abu Dhabi, where they receive physical and psychological care while longing for their home and loved ones.
