Gaza ceasefire could boost aid deliveries to 600 trucks per day: WHO

Dr Rik Peeperkorn, WHO representative in the OPT, aims to increase truck deliveries to Gaza to 500-600 per day, a significant jump from recent levels of 40-50 trucks, to address severe shortages of food, fuel, and medical supplies. Despite a ceasefire, Gaza faces a massive challenge with over 46,000 dead, 110,000 injured, and a healthcare system in shambles, while WHO plans a 60-day emergency health response requiring $10 billion to restore healthcare and provide essential aid to the region.
