Journalist Bisan Owda Reclaims TikTok Account
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Award-winning Palestinian journalist Bisan Owda has regained access to her TikTok account, which has 1.4 million followers, after a brief ban that she attributes to international media attention and NGO pressure. Despite her account being reinstated, many of her videos are now deemed “ineligible for recommendation,” and no new posts have appeared since September 2025. Owda gained recognition for her coverage during the ongoing conflict in Gaza, where she reported daily from the war-torn region. The account’s removal coincided with ongoing Israeli attacks, raising concerns about press freedom in the area.
