Gardaí seized almost €13 million worth of drugs in an operation in Mountmellick, Co Laois, ending a major crack cocaine distribution line. Approximately 182kg of cocaine and 4kg of cannabis herb were confiscated, leading to the arrest of three men from eastern Europe. Assistant Commissioner Paul Cleary highlighted the significance of dismantling the main cocaine supply network into West Dublin, with investigations ongoing.
