Gardaí in Co Cork are seeking witnesses to a hit and run incident involving a member of the force who was hospitalized after their unmarked car was struck by another vehicle whose driver fled the scene. The incident occurred on the N72 at Spa Glen in Mallow, with the injured garda in his 40s being treated at Cork University Hospital and later discharged. A technical examination of the scene was conducted, and authorities are urging anyone with information or dashcam footage to contact Mallow Garda station or the Garda Confidential Line.
