Major arterial routes in Auckland will close starting at 4 PM tomorrow in preparation for Metallica’s concert at Eden Park, marking their first performance in New Zealand since 2010. The heavy metal band will be joined by Evanescence and Suicidal Tendencies as part of their M72 World Tour. With 40,000 visitor nights booked and hotels at full capacity, the city is expected to be bustling. The road closures will affect Sandringham Rd, Walters Rd, Cricket Ave, Reimers Ave, and Bellwood Ave until midnight.
