‘Frightening increase’ in Hepatitis A cases

Philippe Lazzarini, head of UNRWA, stated on social media that Hepatitis A is spreading in Gaza, particularly among children, with 40,000 cases reported since the start of the recent conflict compared to 85 in the same period before. This represents a concerning increase in the disease, which is an inflammation of the liver.
