SpiceJet is facing financial trouble as three Ireland-based lessors and a former pilot have filed insolvency petitions against the carrier in NCLT, citing unpaid dues totaling $12.68 million. The airline is accused of removing aircraft parts and using them in other planes, with hearings scheduled for April 7 and April 15, 2025, to address the disputes and applicability of Section 10A of the IBC. Despite raising ₹3,000 crore in September 2024, SpiceJet continues to battle insolvency petitions from various creditors, indicating ongoing financial challenges for the budget carrier.
