Fremantle Bridge Closure and New Traffic App Announcement

An app has been launched to assist commuters during the Fremantle traffic bridge closure in February, which will last up to 12 months. Transport Minister Rita Saffioti emphasized the importance of the closure for constructing a new $430 million bridge and announced measures, including a live traffic app and pocket guides for residents. However, concerns were raised by Greens MP Brad Pettit regarding inadequate public transport solutions and safety improvements for pedestrians and cyclists. A petition has also been submitted for urgent enhancements to walking and cycling infrastructure.
