Richard Raaphorst, known for his cult hit Frankenstein’s Army, is set to return with a folk horror film titled Children of the Moor, which will be pitched at the Marché du Film in Cannes. The story revolves around a family moving to a remote farmhouse where their teenage daughter discovers the spirits of murdered children, leading to her father’s unraveling sanity. Raaphorst aims for a visually striking contrast between the beauty of nature and horror, drawing inspiration from Italian horror masters while developing the project with his collective, The Mad Scientists, and UK-based 52 Films.
