Drunk driver accessed criminal database using officer’s phone

A drunk driver, Michael Mackey, was caught using a police officer’s phone to access his criminal record while requesting to call a lawyer at a police station. The incident occurred when he was alone in an interview room. Last week, Mackey, 35, faced sentencing in Pukekohe District Court for aggravated drink driving and unauthorized access to a computer system.
