Former US marine pilot Daniel Edmund Duggan, who became an Australian citizen 13 years ago, is facing extradition to the US over allegations of illegally training Chinese pilots in South Africa over a decade ago. He is accused of conspiracy, arms trafficking, and money laundering, allegedly breaching money laundering and arms export control laws while instructing foreign pilots, including Chinese citizens, on landing atop an aircraft carrier. Despite denying the allegations, Duggan and his family have been informed of the Australian Government’s decision to surrender him to the US, with the extradition expected to take place between 30 December and 17 February.
