Former Olympic Coach Charged with Child Rape and Assault

Jose Vicente Leiva-Modahl, a 65-year-old former Olympic coach and husband of Commonwealth Games champion Diane Modahl, has been charged with multiple serious sex offences, including two counts of raping a child and five counts of sexually assaulting a child, allegedly occurring between 2012 and 2024. He is also accused of raping and sexually assaulting an adult female, with all charges relating to the same woman, and will appear in court today.
