Former McGill student union president settles defamation suit with 15 more students

Former McGill University student union president Darshan Daryanani has reached an out-of-court settlement in his $750,000 defamation suit against the Students’ Society of McGill University, 12 of its representatives, and three other students. Daryanani claims his reputation was unfairly tarnished and is relieved to be moving closer to closure. While he is hopeful about the future, he acknowledges the significant damage done to him psychologically, physically, and professionally.
