Former British police officer chosen to lead LAPD watchdog

The Los Angeles Police Department is awaiting the selection of its next chief, while announcing the appointment of Django Sibley as the new executive director of the Police Commission. Sibley, a former UK police officer, served as interim director following Richard Tefank’s retirement after nearly two decades. His appointment was confirmed in a 4-0 vote.
