Former Rebels bikie gang member Ryan Peake has overcome visa issues and a disrupted preparation to surge into contention at the New Zealand Open, shooting rounds of 67 and 64 to sit tied for fourth. Peake, who was sentenced to five years imprisonment in 2014, turned his life around with the help of golf coach Ritchie Smith. South Korean Guntaek Koh leads the tournament at 17 under, with Australian James Marchesani in second at 14 under.
