The former Ashburton District Council building has been sold, with details to be revealed after settlement in early 2025. The property comprises 5059sqm in four titles and was sold to offset the build cost of the new library and civic centre. The sale process also included selling the former public library building for $1.1m and two relocatable buildings for $160,000, with plans for a boutique hotel renovation.
