Foreign Aid Cuts Could Trigger Up To '10m More HIV Infections' By 2030

Representatives from George House Trust participated in a march against HIV stigma in London. Research has shown that cuts to foreign aid budgets could lead to over 10 million additional HIV infections by 2030, with up to 2.9 million more HIV-related deaths globally. The reduction in international development funds may cause a return to 2010 levels of new HIV infections. The UK, US, France, Germany, and the Netherlands have cut their foreign aid budgets, jeopardizing progress made in combating HIV over the past 25 years. Critics have condemned these cuts as detrimental to global efforts to tackle HIV.
