For forty years, Arnhem women have been boarding planes to give birth, leaving their Country behind. Now, they are demanding support to establish birthing services on their own land, so they can stay connected to their culture and community. It’s time for the government to prioritize the needs of Indigenous women and ensure they have access to culturally safe and respectful maternity care.
