Florida woman accused of attacking man with gardening tool after he canceled plans with her: police

Melanie Davis, 47, was arrested in Frostproof, Florida after allegedly attacking a man with a garden hoe for canceling plans with her. The altercation began when Davis climbed a fence to his property, pushed through a door, and punched him before hitting him with the gardening tool, causing a serious cut on his arm. Davis, with a long history of arrests with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, now faces charges including armed burglary with battery, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, and simple battery.
