Florida carries out execution of Frank Walls

Florida executed Frank Athen Walls on Thursday for the 1987 double murder of Edward Alger and Ann Peterson during a home invasion, marking the state’s 19th execution this year. Walls, 58, received a three-drug lethal injection after a long history of appeals and confessions to multiple killings. His final statement included an apology to the victims’ families. Despite claims of intellectual disability, both the Florida and U.S. Supreme Courts denied his appeals for a stay of execution.
