Florida Gators rose to No. 5 in the ESPN College Basketball Power Index after defeating Kentucky, with a BPI of 21.8. Their offensive BPI increased to 10.5 (12th nationally) and defensive BPI improved to 11.4 (6th). ESPN forecasts Florida to finish the season at 23.7-7.3 overall and 14.7-3.3 in conference play, holding a 94.8% chance to win the SEC. The Gators have a strong strength of schedule, ranking 40th nationally, and excelled with a 9-5 record against quality opponents.
