Anastasia Nikulina, a 25-year-old Russian flight attendant, was found dead in a Dubai hotel, having fled there to escape her alleged stalker, Albert Morgan, 41. She was brutally stabbed over 15 times, with reports indicating Morgan broke into her room after following her to Dubai. Despite her previous attempts to avoid him, including paying him £10,000, he continued to stalk her for nearly two years. Morgan was arrested upon returning to Russia and is now in custody awaiting trial.
