Five survivors, including three women, a child, and their 29-year-old pilot, endured 36 hours in a swamp filled with alligators after their plane crashed in the Bolivian Amazon. They survived by consuming cassava flour brought by a passenger, as the water was undrinkable due to the presence of predators and leaking fuel. Rescued in excellent condition by local fishermen, they were transported to a hospital for evaluation after the aircraft went missing during a flight from Baures to Trinidad.
