A fire broke out in 18 temporary tents at a Hindu festival in northern India’s Prayagraj city, attended by millions of people, caused by a gas cylinder explosion but no injuries reported. The Maha Kumbh festival, the world’s largest religious gathering, is held every 12 years and aims to cleanse participants of sins through bathing in the confluence of the Ganges and Yamuna rivers. To accommodate the massive crowd, a tent city with facilities such as kitchens, toilets, hospitals, and security personnel has been set up along the riverbanks.
