Chicago Fire FC forward Georgios Koutsias, 20, has been sent on loan to FC Lugano in Switzerland, with a year-long deal starting on Jan. 1 that includes an option for a permanent transfer. Koutsias had five goals and three assists in 57 MLS matches with the Fire. The move allows the Fire to gain roster flexibility, opens up U-22 Initiative and international slots, and provides an opportunity for Koutsias to continue developing in a competitive league.
