Fire on Container Ship at Los Angeles Port

A fire broke out on the container ship One Henry Hudson at the Port of Los Angeles, leading to a temporary shelter-in-place order due to hazardous materials on board. All 23 crew members were accounted for, with no injuries reported. The fire, which started below deck and caused an explosion mid-deck, prompted over 100 firefighters to respond. Mayor Karen Bass announced the lifting of the shelter order as a safety zone was established around the vessel.
